A geometric display sans rooted in Soviet-era Constructivism, distinguished by near-equal character widths and prominent notches at stroke junctions, available in three weights.
About
Inspired by a Soviet luggage label, Kursk 205 takes the blocky, square proportions of Constructivist lettering and extends them into a full typeface. Shallow ascenders and descenders keep capitals and lower case visually unified, while sizeable notches at curved and angled stroke junctions give the design its most distinctive character. It is the softer of two variants — Kursk 105 follows the original squarer source material more closely, while 205 introduces greater curvature.
Classification
A geometric, Constructivist-influenced display sans with near-equal character widths and prominent notches where curved or angled strokes meet horizontal and vertical strokes. Its square, blocky proportions and mechanical character place it firmly in the display geometric category.
