Jesse Ragan's rounded superfamily of Aglet Slab, Aglet Sans and Aglet Mono, each in fourteen styles with true italics and a variable font.
About
Aglet treats roundness as structure. The Slab came first in 2017, with blunt serifs and circular stops ordered by a hierarchy of curves on a 45 and 90 degree frame. Aglet Sans (2019) redraws it without serifs, using interlocking entry and exit strokes, and Aglet Mono (2020) fits the same voice to fixed widths with dented A, V and W and hooked f, j, r and t. All three share seven weights from Extra Light to Ultra with italics, matching symbols and variable fonts, and work across editorial heads, interfaces, signage and code.
Classification
A superfamily built on roundness: Aglet Slab (2017) came first, then Aglet Sans (2019) and Aglet Mono (2020), each in fourteen styles on the same system of blunt serifs, circular terminals and 45 and 90 degree angles.
