About

Velvelyne started life as an algorithmically generated skeleton based on Liberation Sans, then grew a stroke and expanded into four weights, from Light to Bold. Mariel Nils and Manon Van der Borght built it as the house typeface for the Velvetyne site itself, with a set of post-binary ligatures folded in along the way.
