Fungal specimen from Velvetyne

A variable sans whose grow and thickness axes let letters spread and swell like a fungal colony.

About

Fungal came out of Raphaël Bastide and Jérémy Landes' fungal.page project, a collaborative homage to Wikipedia and early web ideals. Two variable axes, grow and thickness, push the letterforms through instances that read like an organism expanding across a surface, and the character set stretches to Greek, Armenian, Georgian and Cyrillic alongside Latin.

Classification

Two variable axes, named grow and thickness, let the letterforms expand and contract like a spreading organism. Grew out of the fungal.page project, itself a homage to Wikipedia and early web collaboration.
