About

Basteleur takes its name and its bulbous, cooperblack-flavoured character from Le Bateleur, the Magician of the Tarot de Marseille. Keussel built a blend of medieval-tinged and slab-serif forms around that card's lemniscate hat shape. A 2022 update added Moonlight, a lighter and sharper weight, alongside the original bold.
