About
Derived from Hoefler's Ziggurat, Grenader adopts the heavy bracketed serifs and pronounced vertical stress visible in the specimen's letterforms. Available only in Black, it is oriented squarely at poster and headline use. The design was produced at Double Alex Font Studio and distributed through ParaType.
Classification
The specimen shows a high-contrast slab serif with heavy bracketed serifs and strong vertical stress, characteristic of the Egyptian/Clarendon tradition. Based on Hoefler's Ziggurat, it sits firmly in the display slab category.
