BBB Sprat
Typothèque Bye Bye Binary · Eugénie Bidaut, Julie Patard, Ethan Nakache · 2022

An extension of Ethan Nakache's Sprat typeface, augmented in 2022 by Eugénie Bidaut and Julie Patard with post-binary letterforms for Brussels festival FAME.
About
Originally drawn by Ethan Nakache and distributed by Collletttivo, Sprat was expanded by Bidaut and Patard under the Bye Bye Binary initiative to include characters suited to post-binary French typography. The family spans three widths – Condensed, Regular and Extended – each in Thin, Light and Regular weights. Released under the OFL, it was first used in practice for the FAME festival programmes in 2022 and 2023.
Classification
Sprat is a display serif with wide stylistic range across three widths; the BBB extension adds post-binary glyphs to an existing design, preserving its serif display character.
