Originally drawn by Titus Kaphar and Reginald Dwayne Betts with Forest Young and Jeremy Mickel for their 2019 exhibition at MoMA PS1, Redaction was released openly for public use. Godefroy's fork introduces gender-inclusive letterforms for French-language publishing, applied in the context of Curseurs, a critical journal on digital technology produced entirely with free software. Only the Regular weight has been adapted; the full range of optical sizes and weights from the upstream family remains unforked.
Classification
A fork of the Redaction typeface, itself a display serif with multiple optical-size variants; the inclusive fork adapts the Regular weight for use in a print periodical context.
