The typeface is drawn from wooden type found in the archives of La fraternelle – Maison du Peuple in Saint-Claude (Jura), where it was used for the mastheads of 'Le Jura Socialiste' until 1947. Three designers worked in residence at the same print house in October 2025, digitising the original forms and fabricating 42 new post-binary glyphs in wood to sit alongside the historic sorts. The result bridges letterpress history and contemporary gender-inclusive typography in a direct, material way.
Classification
