A three-style stencil-adjacent slab serif originating from a Playfaces Telegram lettering prompt, offering a technological Normal cut, a warm Rounded variant and a 1970s album-cover-inflected Doubled style.
About
Designed by Arina Shokareva, Lufta inherits unconventionally shaped serifs from its lettering prototype while developing its own distinct character across three styles. The family suits contexts as varied as reflective clothing patches, deep tech branding and DIY signage. Extended Latin and Cyrillic coverage, including Bulgarian, is supported alongside two sets of numerals and contextual ligatures.
Classification
A slab serif with unconventionally shaped serifs and an almost-stencil construction. The three styles – Normal, Rounded and Doubled – share the same slab skeleton, placing it firmly in the slab serif category with a stencil-adjacent character.
