A contemporary revival of Nebiolo's 1968 grotesque, expanded across five optical sizes from Micro to Banner and a variable font, with Cyrillic drawn by Jovana Jocić.
About
Rooted in the neo-grotesque tradition of the 1960s and 70s, Forma DJR attends carefully to the tight spacing and softly rounded angles of that period, adjusting letterforms across five optical sizes to preserve these subtleties at both extreme display and very small settings. Each of the 25 styles includes a set of Helvetica-style alternates, acknowledging Forma's original positioning as a direct answer to Helvetica. The Cyrillic character set was designed by Jovana Jocić, extending the family's reach across more than 40 languages.
Classification
A revival of the 1968 Nebiolo grotesque, Forma DJR sits firmly in the neo-grotesque tradition alongside Helvetica, featuring characteristic tight letter-spacing, rounded angles and low stroke contrast typical of that era.
