A single-weight revival of Inland Gothic No. 6 (1895), featuring a notably uneven stroke distribution that departs from the conventions of its late 19th-century American gothic source material.
About
Developed between 2019 and 2021, the design takes Inland Gothic No. 6 as its starting point and introduces deliberately atypical stroke weight distribution, particularly visible in lowercase letters such as 'f' and 'j'. Available in Medium only, it performs equally well at small text sizes and on large-format covers. The design reflects the experimental spirit of the period that bridged decorative Victorian letterforms and the neutral geometric types that followed.
Classification
A late 19th-century American gothic revival derived from Inland Gothic No. 6 (1895), characterised by pronounced stroke weight distribution and uniform stroke width without serifs. The atypical weight distribution on certain lowercase letters such as 'f' and 'j' distinguishes it from conventional grotesque designs.
