A single-weight high-contrast serif derived from an uncredited historical specimen called 'Boston Numerals', developed between 2019 and 2023 and first released in 2022.
About
The design foregrounds the peculiarities of its source material: a static, near-circular lowercase 'o' sits in tension with the pronounced axis of the b, p, d and q. Square serif tips replace the rounded finishes of the original, sharpening the overall impression. A high x-height makes the typeface serviceable in compact setting despite its classical proportions.
Classification
A high-contrast serif with pronounced stroke modulation, a relatively static circular 'o' and square serif tips. The structure draws from classical didone-adjacent sources, adapted with a high x-height and idiosyncratic axis treatment in the b, p, d and q.
