Originally commissioned by the Municipal Public Library in Piekary Śląskie to mark the 200th birthday of Teodor Heneczek and the 170th anniversary of his printing house, the expanded Pro version adds individual text weights alongside display cuts. A stylistic set reproduces the unusual diacritic forms spotted in an 1850 Heneczek-printed volume, giving designers a historically grounded alternative to standard Central-European accents.
Classification
A Central-European interpretation of Bodoni, classifiable as a didone with high stroke contrast, sharp serifs and vertical stress characteristic of the style. Designed for both display use and text-heavy documents, with dedicated text weights.
