MegaMegaTypeType
A display typeface drawn from the hand-lettering of the California state flag, offered in three weights with italic counterparts and a rounded subfamily.
About
Bearhug translates the distinctive letterforms of the California Bear Flag into a usable typeface family, spanning Regular, Bold and Heavy weights, each with italics. A Rounded variant softens the terminals across all three weights, and a variable font allows fine-tuning between settings. The family carries an unmistakably Californian warmth suited to regional branding, signage and editorial display use.
Classification
Based directly on the hand-lettering of the California state flag, Bearhug sits firmly in the display category as a lettering-derived typeface with strong regional character and decorative weight range.
