About
Catorze27 Style 1 traces its origins to photographed examples of mid-century iron signage found in Espinho, Porto, Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo. The 2.0 redesign, a thorough reworking of the 2011 original, redrew every glyph and rebuilt the spacing and kerning from scratch. Seven weights from Hairline to Black give the family practical range while preserving the angular, craft-inflected character of its source material.
Classification
Drawn from wrought iron modernist signage of northern Portugal, the letterforms carry the geometric rigidity and decorative character of mid-century metal fabrication, placing it firmly in the display category.
