About
Dwiggins worked on Charter from 1937 to 1955 but only ever completed the lowercase and a few other characters, using it to set a 1942 specimen and a 1946 short novel. Cristóbal Henestrosa based Mon Nicolette on Dwiggins's original sketches and Boston Public Library printing trials, completing the family across Petite and Grande optical sizes plus a display Toscane style, suited to headlines and short passages from 12 points up.
