Presto specimen from Astype Fonts

A free digital revival of Helmut Matheis's Presto, probably the last foundry type published in Germany.

About

Presto was issued by Ludwig & Mayer in 1970 and made free in 2017 to mark its designer's hundredth birthday. Andreas Seidel built the font for Fust & Friends; the 2019 update extended the character set for wide language coverage. It is a bold joined-up script that fits price tags and shop signs.

Classification

A bold, slightly inclined connected advertising script with economical proportions, from Ludwig & Mayer's 1970 foundry type. Connected script, so script.
