Eclectica mashes up writing and type theory rather than following one historical model, its abrupt modulation and unexpected serif asymmetries sitting against otherwise classical proportions. The italic breaks its uppercase down strokes to form a running bridge through the stems, giving noticeably more dynamism than the roman.
Classification
Deliberately resists Humanist, Rational or Transitional classification, mixing abrupt angular modulation with classical proportions and an unusually disruptive tilting italic.
