Almoneda specimen from Sudtipos

An elliptical, high-contrast display face inspired by uppercase lettering found on old Madrid market ephemera.

About

Almoneda takes its name from Madrid's El Rastro flea market, where designer Ales Santos found nineteenth and early twentieth-century boxes, posters and books carrying unusual uppercase letterforms and rare ligatures. Three weights and a variable version give it range for editorial and contemporary display work.

Classification
