Designed in 2009, Union merges the contours of Helvetica and Arial into a single grotesque that belongs fully to neither. It is intended for situations where Helvetica reads as too considered and Arial as too blunt — a genuinely specific brief that gives the face a coherent identity rather than a merely generic one. Available in two weights with italics, it has been used across editorial, cultural institution and branding work.
Classification
