Larish Alte was originally drawn in 2006 for the Secession contemporary art space in Vienna, then redrawn and published by Radim Peško's RP Digital Type Foundry. It comes in a single semibold weight with two stylistic sets offering alternate forms for the lowercase 'a', uppercase 'A', and 'y' — a small switch with a noticeable effect on tone. Its letterforms, particularly the uppercase R, sit at the ornamental end of the serif spectrum, making it a natural fit for headline work, cultural identities, and editorial display settings.
