A single-weight, caps-only display typeface rooted in the Old Russian ustav manuscript tradition, designed by Igor Nastenko in 1996.
About
The letterforms shown in the specimen draw on the formal ustav script of early Cyrillic manuscripts, with high stroke contrast, sharp triangular serifs and pointed terminals giving the face a strong historical character. Only uppercase letters are provided, making it suited to poster and headline use rather than continuous text. It was produced at the Design Studio of Igor Nastenko and published by SPSL.
Classification
The specimen shows bold Cyrillic letterforms drawn in the Old Russian ustav manuscript tradition, with sharp triangular serifs, high stroke contrast and characteristic pointed terminals. This places it firmly in the blackletter/historical Cyrillic category.
