Unovis specimen from ParaType

An all-caps geometric display face inspired by the lettering of Kazimir Malevich's circle, designed by Tagir Safayev for ParaType in 2001.

About

Built entirely from simple geometric forms, the design draws on the visual language of Russian Suprematist and Constructivist artists from the early twentieth century. Available in a single Regular weight with caps only, it is suited to poster and headline use where historical resonance matters. Discretionary ligatures and decorative features extend its period character.

Classification

All-caps geometric display face drawn from the visual language of Russian Constructivism and Suprematism. Simple rectilinear forms with strong Avant Garde influence place it firmly in the display category, distinct from functional grotesque or text use.
