An extra-compressed display family from ParaType, offering plain, engraved, inline, rough and ornamental cuts suited to advertising and poster typography.
About
Designed by Alexander Tarbeev at ParaGraph in 1993, the family began with condensed bold styles before gaining decorative variants in 1996. Nine styles span plain, engraved, inline, rough, dance and broken treatments, all sharing the same compressed proportions. The range is aimed squarely at headline and display contexts rather than continuous reading.
Classification
An extra-compressed display family with multiple decorative variants including engraved, inline, rough and ornamental cuts, designed explicitly for advertising and poster use rather than text setting.
