MegaMegaTypeType
A Photo-Lettering revival with ball serifs distributed liberally across the letterforms and an inline stroke, producing a distinctly ornamental Tuscan character suited to logotypes and product branding.
About
Drawn from House Industries' Photo-Lettering archive, Exotique applies ball-shaped serifs well beyond their conventional role at stroke terminals, spreading them across the letterforms to create an unusual, rhythmically consistent texture. An inline treatment reinforces the decorative quality and gives the type a snappy visual weight. Its eccentricities make it most effective at large sizes in logotypes, product branding and promotional material.
Classification
An ornamental display face with ball-shaped serifs distributed throughout the letterforms and an inline treatment, producing a Tuscan-like decorative effect atypical of standard serif classification.
