A two-weight glyphic serif drawn at Igor Nastenko's Design Studio in 1995, based on Berthold Wolpe's Albertus of 1936.
About
Old King derives from Agfa Albertus, Wolpe's incised Latin-influenced design, retaining the characteristic flared terminals and low stroke contrast visible in the specimen. The family offers just two weights, Regular and Bold, with no italic cuts. Published by SPSL and distributed through ParaType.
Classification
The specimen shows a sturdy serif with low stroke contrast and flared, chisel-cut terminals typical of glyphic or incised serif designs, consistent with its derivation from Berthold Wolpe's Albertus (1936).
