A single-weight geometric display face from 1994 with hairline strokes, square ink traps at joints and rounded terminals.
About
Designed by Alexey Chekulaev at Double Alex Font Studio in 1994, Nelma uses extremely thin strokes with characteristic square notches at stroke intersections. The rounded terminals contrast with the angular ink traps, giving the face a quiet tension between soft and hard forms. Available in one weight, it is positioned for poster and magazine contexts.
Classification
The specimen shows an extremely thin-stroked, geometric sans with distinctive square ink traps at stroke junctions and rounded terminals, giving it a decorative display character suited to poster use.
