serifcalligraphic serifitalic
Nat Flight specimen from ParaType

A narrow calligraphic serif with open junctions at oval-to-stem connections, designed by Natalia Vasilyeva and released by ParaType in 2009.

About

The design draws on calligraphic traditions, giving it a dynamic and delicate character that becomes particularly apparent in the italic styles. Open junctions where ovals meet vertical stems in B, P and R provide a distinctive structural detail best appreciated at larger sizes. Four styles cover regular and bold weights with matching italics.

Classification

A narrow-proportioned serif with calligraphic influence, open junctions at oval-to-stem connections and dynamic stroke contrast, placing it in the calligraphic serif subcategory rather than a purely classical or transitional model.
