A single-weight block-letter handwriting face that replaces lowercase letters with small caps, mimicking the capitalised handwriting demanded by official bureaucratic forms.
About
Designed by Gennady Fridman and released by ParaType in 2008, Hub imitates the block-letter handwriting style increasingly common in everyday writing, driven partly by requirements on official forms to use capitals. Small caps stand in for lowercase letters, making the typeface well suited to advertising, posters and any context where a filled-in form aesthetic is needed. Discretionary ligatures and alternates add flexibility within its narrow single-weight offering.
Classification
A block-letter handwriting style designed for display use, with small caps substituting lowercase letters to mimic the capitalised handwriting required by official forms. Its display intent and handwritten character place it firmly in the display category.
