A 1995 LCD-style display face built from segmented strokes with chamfered ends, imitating seven-segment digital readouts in six styles including inverse and oblique cuts.
About
Designed by Alexey Chekulaev at Double Alex Font Studio in 1995, the face mimics the visual language of seven-segment LCD displays, with each letterform assembled from short, angled-ended rectangular segments. Six styles cover Normal, Black and White weights, each with an Oblique variant, plus an inverse (White/Cameo) treatment. It draws comparison to Alan Birch's LCD (1981).
Classification
The specimen clearly shows letterforms constructed from segmented, seven-segment LCD-style strokes with chamfered ends, imitating digital display readouts. This places it firmly in the display category as a technology-themed novelty face.
