A single-weight distressed grotesque derived from Pragmatica, with heavily eroded letterforms designed for advertising and display typography.
About
Developed at ParaType (ParaGraph) in 1995, Crash takes Vladimir Yefimov's Pragmatica as its structural foundation and applies a ragged, worn-surface treatment to every glyph. The result reads as a grotesque seen through a degraded stencil or peeling paint. A single Regular style is offered, positioned explicitly for poster and magazine display work.
Classification
The specimen shows letterforms derived from a grotesque base (Pragmatica) with a heavily distressed, eroded texture applied throughout, giving each glyph a rough, torn-stencil quality suited entirely to display and poster use.
