A wide, high-contrast display serif designed at the Az-Zet Graphic Bureau between 1990 and 1995, modelled on Stephenson Blake's Wide Latin.
About
Designed by Konstantin Chuvashev at the ATRI Graphic Bureau Az-Zet, this typeface draws directly from the Wide Latin tradition, producing extreme horizontal expansion and pronounced stroke contrast. Only a single Regular style is available. The design follows the broad, decorative register typical of Victorian-era wide Latin revivals.
Classification
The specimen shows a wide, high-contrast serif with pronounced slab-like thick strokes and sharp, wedge-cut serifs typical of the Wide Latin tradition. The broad proportions and strong stroke contrast place it firmly in the display Latin wide category.
