An ultra-bold display grotesque from 1996 with heavily rounded counters and wedge-like terminals, designed at Double Alex Font Studio for poster-scale work.
About
Designed by Alexey Chekulaev at Double Alex Font Studio in 1996, Acsioma is built around extreme weight and compact proportions, with rounded interior counters and flared stroke endings that give it a forceful, blocky character. The five styles range from Medium through to Super Shock and a rough-edged Next Rough variant, spanning conventional to heavily textured display uses.
Classification
The specimen shows an ultra-bold, condensed sans-serif with heavily rounded counters and flared, wedge-like stroke terminals – characteristic of a display grotesque designed for poster use. The extreme weight and compact proportions place it firmly in the decorative display category.
