Generation Mono started with a handful of characters drawn for the 2019 Next Generation campaign at the Basel Academy of Art and Design, later expanded to a full basic Latin set. Its ultra-wide proportions suit vertical setting as much as horizontal. Offered on a pay-what-you-want basis.
Classification
Despite the name, this reads as an extremely heavy, ultra-wide monoline display face rather than a fixed-width monospace, so it's classified as display.
