A single-weight Arabic display face that applies sharp geometric logic to Naskh script forms, drawing formal inspiration from Mohsen Ebadi's Rasm al-Mashq Naskh Iranian.
About
Developed from a notebook sketch, the design preserves the structural roots of Naskh whilst introducing systematic geometric deformation across its letterforms. OpenType features include discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates for kashida behaviour, stylistic sets and swash variants, giving access to a range of alternate forms for key Arabic letters. Coverage extends to Arabic, Persian, Kurdish, Urdu and English.
Classification
A single-weight Arabic display typeface rooted in Naskh script but subjected to deliberate geometric deformation. The design sits clearly in the display category due to its sharp geometric treatment of a calligraphic tradition rather than a text-optimised approach.
