Rather than following calligraphic tradition, Block constructs its Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Kurdish and Latin characters from modular square units, making it well suited to grid-based layouts, posters and book covers. Two distinct styles define its character: Sharp carries a severe, precise quality, while Round softens the same underlying geometry into something more approachable. The Pro package adds a variable axis and condensed widths to the family.
