A six-weight sharp serif with mineral-inspired geometry — pointed wedge serifs, squared counters and triangular crossbar alternates give it strong personality at headline sizes.
About
Azurio takes its name and structure from Azurite, translating the mineral's crystalline geometry into a modern serif: pointed wedge serifs, squared counters and optional triangular crossbars on A and H. Six weights from Light to Black are available as static files and a variable font. Despite its display personality, a large x-height and moderate contrast keep it workable for longer text.
Classification
Modern serif with geometric and triangular construction inspired by the mineral Azurite. Pointed wedge serifs, squared counters and triangular crossbar alternates on A and H give it a crisp, hard-edged character. Large x-height and moderate contrast make it viable for text as well as display. Includes stylistic alternates, standard and discretionary ligatures, plus a variable font.
