MegaMegaTypeType
An extreme high-contrast display serif with a tall x-height and sharp corners, released in two optical variants by the NaN team in 2025–2026.
About
NaN Hawk pushes contrast and x-height to conspicuous extremes, with angular details that give it a distinctly aggressive character. Two subfamilies, Serif and Big Serif, cater to different scale requirements. Supporting 324 Latin-based languages, the family ships in TTF and WOFF2 with autohinting, and all full-family licensees receive future updates at no additional cost.
Classification
An extreme high-contrast serif with very tall x-height and sharp corners, placing it firmly in the display serif category. The dramatic contrast and angular detailing distinguish it from conventional text serifs.
