The engraver's default serif from the 1938 Gravograph, rebuilt for desktop use in single to four-line versions.
About
You have seen this face on plaques and nameplates without noticing: a Times-like serif drawn by a pantograph needle, with spindly punctuation, a lurching k and a droopy R. The line styles show the engraving path, while Light, Regular and Bold close the grooves into solid letters. Good for heritage signage, plaques and vernacular branding.
Classification
A digital rendition of the uncredited serif that came with Norbert Schimmel's New Hermès Gravograph pantograph engraver in 1938. The family runs from one to four engraving lines, as patterned and engraved styles, for eight styles in total; the tool path shows in the thin styles and fills in as weight increases. 241 glyphs.
