Ruberoid specimen from Mint Type

A squarish geometric sans in nine weights with oblique companions, drawing on 1950s and 1960s Italian design while softening the forms with rounder shapes.

About

Ruberoid takes the squarish geometry of mid-century Italian typefaces as its starting point, then rounds out the letterforms to give the family a more contemporary character. Nine weights from Thin to Extra Bold each come with a matching oblique, totalling 18 styles. Latin, Greek and Cyrillic scripts are all supported, broadening its usefulness across European and Slavic markets.

Classification

A squarish geometric sans with rounder shapes than its mid-century Italian references, placing it within the geometric tradition while softening the rigidity typical of the genre.
