Metrostile specimen from Haus Type

A squarish geometric sans with clear debts to Eurostile, offered in four weights with matching obliques and a variable axis across eight static styles.

About

Metrostile takes its cues from the squared geometric lettering of the 1960s and 70s, particularly Aldo Novarese's Eurostile, and reframes that aesthetic for contemporary branding and screen use. Four weights from Regular to Black each have a corresponding oblique, and the family ships as both static fonts and a variable font. OpenType features include fractions, case-sensitive forms, stylistic alternates for the single-storey 'a' and multiple ampersand variants.

Classification

Squarish geometric sans-serif in the tradition of Eurostile, with squared-off rounded forms, even stroke weight and an upright structure derived from mid-century technical lettering.
