A ten-weight neo-grotesque in which every curve is squared to a single fixed radius, spanning from a hairline scored line to a heaviest weight called Censured where counters close entirely.
About
Designed by Nikita Kanarev, the family is built around a consistent corner radius that appears uniformly in bowls, shoulders and terminals, evoking silkscreened lettering on instrument panels. Wide proportions and an 81% x-height ratio allow headlines to pack tightly into dense, legible blocks at distance or shallow angles. Multiple stylistic sets allow alternates to retexture an entire line of text at once, producing a flickering field effect at large sizes, with applications in identity, fascias, plates and wayfinding.
Classification
Even stroke weight, squared rounds with a fixed corner radius, and geometric terminals place this squarely in the neo-grotesque tradition. The instrument-panel aesthetic and extreme weight range – from hairline to fully closed counters – push it toward the display end of the spectrum.
