Parkside
Mark Simonson · Mark Simonson · 2018

A six-weight script in the style of 1930s and 40s lettering, using OpenType logic to join letters the way metal type from that era never could.
About
Parkside borrows its look from script typefaces and lettering of the 1930s and 40s, but goes further than the metal originals thanks to digital typography: letters overlap and automatically shift shape to flow with their neighbours. Six weights run from Hairline to Black, and language support is broad across Latin-based writing systems.
Classification
A connecting script that automatically links letterforms, so it belongs with the script faces rather than any structured serif or sans.
