About
Cordier Script takes its name from the engraver who produced the plates for Louis Barbedor's 1650 French calligraphy manual, and it translates that chancery penmanship into a contemporary typeface with natural momentum. Benjamin Gomez drew each letter with numerous contextual alternates and multiple half-letter forms, allowing connections at varying heights so text flows with the suppleness of actual handwriting. It comes in two styles, Regular and Linked, and suits display headlines, editorial layouts and branding equally well.
