LH Toast Script
Léon Hugues · Léon Hugues

A connected high-contrast script in 10 weights drawing on Spencerian and copperplate calligraphy.
About
LH Toast Script is the connected-lettering half of the LH Toast family, with flowing joins and continuous movement across all 10 weights. The letterforms mix Spencerian handwriting, copperplate precision and broad-nib experiments, producing high-contrast curves and exaggerated swashes. A comprehensive set of alternates and eight stylistic sets lets the register shift from restrained editorial use to full decorative expression.
Classification
A fully connected calligraphic script with continuous letterform joins. Draws on Spencerian handwriting, copperplate and broad-nib calligraphic traditions. One of two complementary styles in the LH Toast family; the other (LH Toast Italic) disconnects the same letterforms into standalone editorial forms.
