LH Toast
Léon Hugues · Léon Hugues

A 10-weight display script in two distinct styles, spanning connected calligraphy to disconnected editorial forms.
About
LH Toast sits somewhere between formal calligraphy, storefront lettering and luxury editorial typography. Mixing Spencerian handwriting, copperplate references and broad-nib technique, it produces high-contrast curves with exaggerated swashes and abrupt cuts. Two distinct styles – Script (connected) and Italic (disconnected) – give the family meaningfully different voices for different layout needs, all within a coherent 10-weight system.
Classification
A display script family available in two complementary styles: Script (connected, flowing joins) and Italic (disconnected, editorial standalone forms). Both styles draw on Spencerian handwriting, copperplate and broad-nib calligraphy. High contrast with pronounced swash and alternate sets. Ten weights across both styles give considerable range.
