A square-grid modular type system in which every glyph can connect to its neighbours through OpenType contextual ligatures, creating infinite linked letterforms across five stylistic variants.
About
Built on a strict square grid, WIM R12 achieves both vertical and horizontal fit, with OpenType features – Clig, Init and Fina – driving contextual ligatures that chain glyphs together seamlessly across a line. Five variants (Thin, Blur, Full, Wobbly and Rectangle) extend the system's expressive range while preserving its underlying modularity. Additional glyphs that step outside the square boundary are included, provided they maintain structural coherence with the grid.
Classification
A monospaced modular type system built on a square grid, with OpenType contextual ligatures enabling glyphs to connect horizontally and vertically – placing it firmly in the experimental modular mono category.
