About
Werkzeug Mono was developed on a strict minimalist grid, giving each glyph a modular, raw quality that references the typographies produced by engineers working within standardised systems. The family ships in four styles – Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic – with a considered set of OpenType features including oldstyle figures, a slashed zero, superior letters, case-sensitive forms and six stylistic sets for alternate letterforms. The name means 'tool' in German, a word that accurately describes the typeface's unornamented, functional character.
