A modular monospaced typeface constructed on a five-by-nine square grid, available in three variants: square-edged, round-edged and a hybrid with curved Os and diagonal Xs.
About
Built from a minimal set of components on a strict grid, Prog Mono enforces equal character widths throughout, compressing wide letters and expanding narrow ones for visual balance. Three subfamilies offer distinct personalities: Square is clean and rectilinear, Radius softens the edges, and Fusion introduces curved Os, round punctuation and 45-degree Xs for a more disruptive character. A non-monospaced variant of Prog also exists, allowing wider characters more room whilst still adhering to the underlying grid. All versions cover Western and Central European accented characters.
Classification
A monospaced typeface built on a strict five-by-nine square grid, placing it firmly in the modular/geometric mono category. Its construction from a minimal kit of rectangular components, with optional rounded or hybrid variants, aligns it with display-oriented pixel and grid-based type traditions.
